NAHEC aspires for academic excellence through a balanced combination of faith, teaching and learning within the context of Christian holiness.
Welcome to the website of the Nazarene Higher Education Consortium (NAHEC hereafter). A bud is unfolding in higher education and ready to unveil many of its special features. Whilst I feel challenged as a Rector, I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to lead a Christian institution such as this one. I would invite you to take a closer look at each feature of NAHEC at our website.
The consortium is a combination of three colleges namely: the Nazarene College of Education, the Nazarene College of Nursing and the Nazarene College of Theology. All three colleges have been serving the Church of the Nazarene in its mission of academic excellence since the 1920s in the areas of education, health and the religion. Each of the colleges has a unique history and a number of special features.
NAHEC strive to inculcate a culture of Christian discipline whilst aiming at academic excellence in teaching, learning, research, leadership and community service. To realize this vision NAHEC is establishing strategic alliances with both local and international tertiary institutions of higher education. The alliances afford NAHEC opportunities for exchange of information, programmes, faculty, and administrative principles.
Our 2015 vision is to establish a Nazarene University in Swaziland which will play a pivotal role in influencing the economy, the social and community development by producing leaders in education, health and the ministry. We want to bring about the desired change in behavior through developing professional leaders with independent, open and critical minds, and, at the same time, capable of inculcating Christian principles in the lives of young people in our society. We also aim at producing practical solutions through evidence based teaching and research.
May God bless you as you participate with us in this joyous trajectory.
